You might be curious as to why I have written “She Was Pretty” as the title of this new blog post of mine.
Since yesterday, I have been thinking of a good topic to write since I initially promised myself to write at least one article every day.
Just this morning, I have thought writing about a series which I really love.
If you have read my post entitled “Let’s know more about the writer”, you are well aware that I am more of a “movie/series” person than a “book” person and that I love watching Korean and Chinese artists.
I just love seeing how beautiful the scenes are happening.
“She Was Pretty” is a Korean series starring Hwang Jung-Eum, Park Seo-Joon (my favorite actor), Go Joon-Hee and Choi Si-won. It aired year 2015 with several episodes and captured the hearts of lots of viewers all over the world. This was actually the first series I have watched completely (except from the famous “Meteor Garden”, a Taiwanese show). This series opened my eyes to other Korean series.
The story talks about two people who happened to be childhood sweethearts and best of friends while young. They have shared lots of memories together. The boy, a chubby cute little boy, fell in love with a very beautiful girl who happened to be part of a stable family owning a publishing company.
As years passed by, the boy’s family decided to go to other country and stay there for good which was the main reason why they parted ways. Although they still kept their communication through mails.
After several years, they both had their own lives, different twists and turns. The lady’s family business went bankrupt and her appearance suddenly changed – from being too attractive to being unconventionally pretty whereas the guy happened to be successful in the industry of fashion designing having good looks (which is too far from what he looked before). When the guy went back, he decided to search for the lady and asked her to meet him. The lady, too excited to see her childhood best friend, prepared a lot. As she was walking by, she saw a good looking man who happened to be her best friend. She lost all her confidence and decided to ask a friend of hers to pretend in her place.
But destiny was indeed playful, they have met again on a publishing company wherein they landed at the same department, the guy being the supervisor and the lady as one of the team members.
The guy, without knowing that he is with his best friend, shows rude behavior and expresses her unlikeness towards the lady. The lady has been heartbroken and realized that the guy really changed a lot.
As the story progresses, the guy, although doing his best not to fall in love, still found the lady attractive. He then showed his feelings and made the lady feel special in any way. Of course, at the end of the story, he eventually found out the lady’s true identity. They got married and had their own family.
I really am really into this series as I have got lots of life lessons.
We all have our inner beauty. They say “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” which I firmly believe to be true. Beauty is not merely seen on the outside but on one’s attitude towards things.
Be confident in any way. You are God’s creation and you are beautiful. What others say do not count or matter much.
Life is not stable and change is inevitable. No matter how you stick with who you are or what you have at the moment, there would still be a probability of losing it.
Everything happens for reason. You are where you are right now because you are destined to be there. Trust the process.
Most importantly, true love will definitely find a way to the right person amidst any circumstances and situation.
I hope this somehow made you realized about something.
It has been a month since I’ve started this blog I promised the readers to publish one every night I strongly believe that consistency is the key However it really is too difficult for me

Looking at the rules of this award thing, I was given several questions by Stay Alive which I need to answer. As I am answering these questions, I felt like I was joining some sort of beauty pageant or what. LoL. Anyway, I hope you can find time to read my responses.

What dream are you working towards right now?
If you have read my blog entitled Appreciating the Little Things which I have published just recently, you would know that I just celebrated my site’s first month last 5th of July. It is actually not my dream to have my own blog site but as I go through this blogging journey, I have realized that it is indeed my dream to influence, inspire, and reach every person in the world through writing. I guess, this one is the dream which I am working on right now.
What seems to be your biggest obstacle?
Well, at the moment, the hardest obstacle in achieving mentioned dream of mine is “time”. If you have read my article entitled, Let’s know more about the Writer, you probably knew that I am an Industrial Engineer by profession and is currently working full-time. I would need to render 8 to 9 hours a day at work. Getting home tired and exhausted, I sometimes do not have the courage and drive to write – what I only want is to sleep and eat.
This happens almost every day. But when I decided to go to bed, there is this thought circling on my mind – “I need to write one”. And yes, I’ll get up and write.
When I am at the point of almost giving up, I am thinking about the reason why I started – which I guess is the best motivation I could think of.
If things happened the way you wanted, how would life be different?
If things happened the way I wished, I would probably be publishing 3 to 5 posts a day. 😊
Are you thankful of your weaknesses or you see them as a curse?
Of course, I am thankful. Weaknesses are proofs that we are human beings, we are not perfect. I always believe that my weaknesses are my starting points. If I would be able to learn from those and overcome them, I will be the person whom I wanted to become.

Yesterday, I have written a poem, Poem for the 6th of July, and I have mentioned that I’ll be on a trip. I promised to publish one today to share the experience I’ve had. So here it is. Thank you for waiting and for continuously showing the love I am not sure if I deserve.
We went to this place situated at Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas — Lake Haven. (If you want to visit their page, click on the name mentioned). I was really excited since I really heard a lot of good reviews about this place and this will be my first time to get there. I have seen lots of photos on the page and was really mesmerized.
As I have entered on the resort’s vicinity, I was welcomed by a beautifully groomed plant at the doorway, glass-structured house, cute little things on the side of the room, and amazing “teepees” for bedtime.
Of course, I find time to take good photos of myself along with the “teepee”. (Well, I am giving you the chance to judge if I do look good or not. lol).
As I continued looking at the hall, another spot caught my attention — the panoramic view of the famous Taal Lake of Batangas and the beauty of another popular city, Tagaytay. The overlooking view really made our jaws dropped. You are seeing the trees along with the blue water of the lake.
And yes, I must not miss this opportunity to get a photo of myself with this astonishing background so check out these photos of mine.
You can really see how beautifully God created the Earth and all things in it — plants, trees, bodies of water, and human beings. And oh, words are not enough to describe the sunset.

Aside from the amazing views and features of the resort, I can never forget the feast we had during dinner time. The foods served were deliciously cooked and prepared. I guess eating time is the most awaited part of the trip. What do you think? Ugh. Look at these photos, I’m sure you’ll feel hungry.
Upon having our dinner, we’ve had some short chats and games which made the vacation happier. We also rented a karaoke which lighted up everyone’s mood (Filipinos really love eating and singing, agree?). At midnight, we decided to take some rest to welcome the next day. It’s bedtime!
If you would go on vacations, celebrate birthdays, parties, anniversaries, or any occasion, I truly recommend this place. They’ve got all we need to relax and chill as well as good and accommodating staff.
Based on what I know, they have other rooms (other than this I have presented) wherein a family or a couple could stay. Rates are ranging from Php 3,000 to 5,000 (approximately 60 USD to 100 USD). This one we rented is good for groups of people, 20 or more. We only paid Php 750 each (approximately 15 USD). If you want to know more, go ahead and check their Facebook page.
If you’ve decided to visit this place, I would suggest to use either google maps or the “waze” application to get to the location (as I am not that good with directions so I cannot really help).

I woke up so glad knowing that I have lots of things to be thankful for — every single thing, even the small ones.
Today, I am celebrating my blog site’s first month! Yes! If you have read my post entitled “Let’s know more about the writer“, it really is not my passion to write as I hate paper works and researches. Until now, I cannot imagine why I end up having this site of mine.
Marking my site’s first month, I was able to have 40 amazing followers at Word press (I thank you all, Sweeties!), 300+ likes on my Facebook page (if you might want to check and hit like as well, you can visit Karla Alday), and thousands of views from people reading around the globe. I started calling my readers as “Sunnies”. If you would want to be part of our shining family, please keep on following this site of mine or my social media accounts (links and usernames posted on the “Contact” button of this site).
I know mentioned numbers are not that huge enough, but my heart keeps on beating because of so much happiness and love. I was really overwhelmed.
I know I still need to do a lot of things to be successful on this craft but I wanted to say “Thank you” to all the people who continuously believe on me, to those who are waiting for my new posts, and to those who are reading to be inspired and motivated.
I promise to keep you all, Sunnies, posted. I’ll try to write as many as I can to reach you. I just started and I hope I could get the chance to reach more people not only on my country, the Phillippines, but even those residing outside.
Many are asking if I am already earning from writing on this site. Well, answer is “No”. I started this site because of my aim to influence my readers. I have learned just recently that my site could be monetized and yes, I am working on it. 🙂 First step was buying my own domain. Yeah, it costs some penny but I know in God’s will and through my efforts, I would be able to gain that back and somehow earn. Who knows?
And because of so much gratitude, I’ve decided to give back. I will be doing a “giveaway” event on my Facebook page once I have reached 500 likes! Items to be given away are not that fancy. I asked my knight to create a design for my site and I ended up having those printed on shirts. Hoping that you will all like it! I just got home from a long and tiring day of work. I have written this blog to share this cozy and fancy restaurant I have been to.
My guy asked me to go out after work and eat. Can you say “no” to such invitation? Well, I can’t.
We’ve decided to visit this “Barack Burger” place which offers amazing dishes. They actually have their Facebook page which you can check as well.
Upon entering, you can really feel the vibe of a modern yet Filipino styled location. You will be seeing a huge logo of a burger on your right side which really is mouth-watering.
Barack Burger is located at P. Torres St. Lipa City, few steps away from the miraculous Mt. Carmel Church. After attending the mass, I guess you can check this place and dine in. Why not?
Barack Burger has an amazing look. I find it awesome — the chairs and tables, designs and accessories, and even the wall writings and portraits.
They got bunches of foods in their menu but what we’ve ordered are spicy chicken, spicy ribs, and honey and garlic chicken with soda and water of course. We haven’t got the opportunity to try their best-selling burgers as we really are hungry and longing for rice (yeah, quite funny but that’s the truth – no to diet). And yes, if you are asking about the prices of these foods, we only paid Php 400 (approximately 8 USD). Affordable, right? What’s more amazing is that they are offering delivery services to nearby homes. Just go visit their page to know more.
If you would want to chill and relax, this restaurant is a must visit place. You can just sip your coffee or eat your burger while listening to music, sitting, and looking at the walls (weird but the postings are amazing). The Godly messages on the wall really caught me.
This one’s indeed a good restaurant. But, going to places — be it cafeterias, churches, beaches, or any other, would definitely be enjoyable if you are with someone who makes your heart full and happy.
Reminder: Putting God on top of all should be life’s first rule.
