5 Things I learned from Blogging

If you have been following this site of mine starting the day this was created, you are well aware that I will be celebrating my site’s second month this 5th of August. (I have highlighted this on my “Appreciating the Little Things” blog — you can check this one as well). In this two-month period, I’ve got to realize five awesome things in blogging.

So here it is.

  1. Blogging as many of you might think is easy but as for me, this is really difficult and requires a lot of your time, effort and commitment as well. Blogging is being able to create, write, and upload posts on your website. But this is not just about writing. In order to have a good website which is appealing to your viewers and readers, you would need to really invest a lot of time thinking about the topics which are worth-reading. In order to keep your followers and subscribers to your site, a good content really matters. You must know what they like to read and what they are into. In my case, I am still having a hard time figuring out what most of my readers want. I am happy to receive lots of compliments and comments on every post of mine which somehow increases my writing confidence. This somehow gives me an idea of which topic I should keep (since the site also got a “stats” monitoring option).
  2. You must probably knew that blogging could somehow give you the chance to earn by integrating advertisements and being affiliate marketers. If you will enter the blogging world because of this reason, you must not continue. It really is difficult to figure out the computation of the revenue you might get in blogging. If you are really passionate in writing and engaging with your readers, blogging is for you. Earning is just a bonus, I guess.
  3. Through blogging, I was able to better learn how to manage my time and prioritize things. At the moment, I still can’t imagine that I was able to publish 51 amazing articles (long essays, food for thought, poems, and even reminders). You all know that I am doing full-time and part-time jobs (which I highlighted on one of my blog posts) and it is really difficult to stay committed with blogging. I am really amazed that I was able to do so. Hoping that I can do this even for years. 🙂
  4. On this almost 2-month blogging journey, I was able to learn to be more appreciative. 🙂 It is true that there are a lot of people who will doubt your abilities and skills but still, there are more who will be there to support you in everything that you do. My heart really stumbles every time I got comments and likes from co-bloggers and even friends outside the WordPress site.
  5. You should always work on your success because it doesn’t happen overnight. During my first week and month, I was really frustrated because I haven’t got much views, likes, and comments even though I am doing my best to write. Through the help of other bloggers, I was able to increase the number of my followers and improve my writing skills. I know I still got a long way to go but I believe what I currently have is a good start. You would really need a lot of considerations to turn your dreams into reality.

I know I am only at my 2nd month in this journey and I would still learn lots of things. I hope you will still be there until I reached that peak. 🙂

Monday Reminder

Love is the most magical thing on Earth.

It can drive you crazy and can make you think of the most impossible thing.

It is not planned. You can meet the person destined to be with you even in the most unexpected moment.

If you think you are with that person now, make the most out of the moments you are with him.

If you still haven’t met him, keep in mind that God is preparing the most unexpected scenario for the both of you. You just need to wait for that to happen.

If you think you have waited long enough, you are wrong.

If you are asking until when to wait, the answer lies within you.

Happy Monday, Sunnies! ❤

Food Blog: Ava’s Kitchen!

Hey Sunnies!

How was your Sunday so far? Well, mine is quite good but a rainy one.

This morning we attended the Sunday mass at Parish of Our Lady Mary Mediatrix of All Grace. After the mass, of course, we took some time to think where to eat. Initially, we talked about eating at Anchor Point in Dagatan, Lipa City. But since this is quite far and the weather seems to be not so fine, we then decided to eat somewhere near. We have found this small and cute food place at Brgy. 6, Lipa City – Ava’s Kitchen! Of course, they have their Facebook page which you can check on this link.

If you are from Lipa City, you can easily find this place since this is actually near the public market. The store is along the highway and has a small signage.

This place offers lots of food — be it burger, sandwiches, pasta, or rice meals. I have grabbed this menu from their page since I wasn’t able to take some photos during our visit (could be due to the hunger I am feeling that time).

Note: Currency used in the menu is Philippine Peso. (1 USD = 51.03 Philippine Peso – if you would like to perform the conversion).

The place is quite small and can accommodate only few people. They got amazing wall designs as well which can be seen on below photos.

During our visit, we ordered 2 servings of pasta and 4 pieces of Korean chicken wings. The pasta is really good and the chicken wings are so yummy, soft, and tender. These wings are the best I have tasted so far. If you would visit this store, I would really recommend these Korean chicken wings!

What we have eaten only costs Php 243.00 (approximately 5 USD).

Always treat yourself! Remember, eating good food will always give you good mood! 🙂

Happy Sunday! ❤

Food for Thought

They say happiness is a state of mind. Therefore, we should learn to see the happiness in everything.

Celebrate even the small wins.

Every step you make is an improvement.

Do not be disappointed or disheartened about a small mistake.

Remember, today could be a bad day, but you still got tomorrow.

Happy Saturday! ❤

Food for Thought

If you feel that you need to take some break — from life, school, or work, do it.

Give yourself the reward of travelling and enjoying things.

Time lapses and we cannot bring that back.

Remember, you are not a tree, you can move.

Worry less, enjoy more, live your life.

Happy Friday! ♥️

A Day in my Life

When I started this blog site and committed to publish articles from time to time, a lot of my friends and colleagues actually asked me on how I go through my day to day activities since I have a full-time job during daytime (you can read my blog entitled “Let’s know more about the Writer”). This is why I have written this post.

So in this newest blog of mine, I would like to share what actually happens on a day in my life (during weekday).

This topic is very popular in Youtube. Lots of video creators have done this “A day in my Life” vlog.

And yeah, I guess I am taking it to the next level because I would be writing mine instead of recording it.

During weekdays, I usually woke up at 5:30 in the morning (PH time). I am setting my alarm at this time so that I could get up and prepare myself before going to work. Once I get up from bed, I’ll be taking some time for a short prayer and to check my phone before washing my face and eating my breakfast (I usually eat bread and drink coffee or eat cereals with milk – depending on my mood lol).

After eating, I’ll then brush my teeth, take a bath and dress up to go to work.

At exactly 6:30, I’ll go ahead and walk. Our house is actually far from the roadway so I would need to walk for some minutes (10 minutes).

Since we used to ride on a car owned by my colleague and friend, our travel time usually is 40 minutes.

I’ll be arriving at the office on or before 8 AM. At the office, before entering, we’ll be greeted by a very entertaining lobby attendant which lightens up our morning mood.

The whole day until 6 PM would be a battle as I will be doing office works.

At exactly 6 PM, workhours is finished and we’ll go ahead.

I usually arrive at our house at 7 – 7:30 PM depending on the road traffic.

Once I got home, I’ll change my clothes and prepare myself for dinner time.

After dinner time, I’ll brush my teeth and wash my face – not because I’ll go to sleep, but because I need to be awake for some more time to check my social media accounts, create blog posts and articles. 🙂

This is the reason why I usually publish blog posts during night time (PH time) and as for the articles, I have been doing a part-time job of writing paid articles for a client based in US. 🙂

At 10 PM, I’ll then go to bed and rest.

This happens almost every weekday.

Yes, I felt tired most of the times but I am glad I was able to do those.

Reminders:

  1. Even if you are too busy with a lot of things, you should take some time to rest and breathe fresh air (which I usually do every weekend).
  2. Make sure to spend time with your loved ones.
  3. If you committed yourself to a thing, ensure that you’ll finish that until the end.

Happy Wednesday, Sunnies! ❤

Food for Thought

A dream will remain a dream unless you exerted the effort needed to achieve it.

It may take a lot of courage to finally do it but trust me, the result will all be worth it.

Keep going.

A progress, though small, is still a progress.

Happy Tuesday! 🌹

Tuesday Reminder

If you don’t want to do a thing, then don’t do it.

If somebody asked for a favor you are not comfortable to grant, don’t do it.

Saying “No” at times is fine.

Forget the thinking that always giving a “Yes” is positive.

You got options, Dear.

Happy Tuesday! 🌹

Food for Thought

You are not a prisoner.

If you wanted to go and pursue what you love, do it.

You do not need the approval of others.

As long as you are putting your heart in everything that you do, you are doing it right.

If the outcome is bad, it’s fine.

If it’s good, then it’s great.

Keep smiling and continue moving forward.

Happy Monday, Sunnies! ❤
