Food Blog: Fat Grill!

Hey Sunnies!

I am back with a new food blog! The first time I have created an article about my food experience was last July 4. So if you guys haven’t read that one yet, make sure to check it here.

So here’s the second one!

Yesterday, I had a dinner date with my friends/workmates and we’ve visited one famous restaurant at our town, Lipa City. The food place’ name is Fat Grill! ❤ They have their Facebook page as well which you can visit if you want to.

This restaurant is located at Morada Avenue near the Lipa City’s Cultural Center. There are a lot of people who are actually visiting this place to dine in because it has good ambiance, accommodating staff, and of course affordable food choices!

As you entered the facility, you would be welcomed by lots of plants telling you to go in and eat a lot. If you are worrying about the parking space, they have it here as well. The space is just quite small so if you would decide to visit the place, I would recommend to come early to ensure a spot for your car.

Their place is quite small but they could somehow accommodate approximately 50 people. Their seats and tables are quite cute as well. They’ve got those with different colors. Check out these photos!

On the first food blog I made, most of my readers were asking why I haven’t got the menu. So this time, I made sure to take a photo of those they are offering. As you look on each image, you’ll get mesmerized on how the owner end up with each meal’s name. Too creative, I guess.

Well, I hope this photo would help you out! (If you are from a foreign country, the currency used on below list is Philippine Peso).

  • Chow the Chicken – Php 115.00
  • Fire in the Hole – Php 115.00
  • Baby Come Back – Php 145.00
  • Tofu Hustle – Php 79.00
  • Roast n Beef – Php 160.00
  • Big Momma’s Baked Chicken – Php 110.00
  • Nasa Huli ang Pagsisisig – Php 115.00
  • Catch of the Day – Php 115.00
  • Alladin’s Treasure – Php 105.00
  • Fat Boy’s Liempo – Php 105.00
  • On the Wings of Love – Php 115.00
  • KKK (Krispy Kare Kare) – Php 115.00
  • Fire Me Up – Php 135.00

Just by looking on the photos of each meal, you’ll definitely feel hungry. Imagine? You could dine in by just spending less than Php 200.00 (approximately 4 USD). Moreover, the photos really look the same as the actual. As you know, there are some restaurants who have good photos but when you have seen the actual food, you’ll somehow feel disappointed. Also, you’ll notice that they are serving each meal using a chopping board instead of the usual plate which I found innovative and unique.

We are five and we ordered 2 KKK, 1 Baby Come Back, 1 Catch of the Day, and 1 On the Wings of Love.

I really enjoyed the food and felt really full after finishing mine! The side dishes are also awesome! I am sure you guys will love it as well.

If you decided to visit this restaurant, they are open Mondays to Sundays from 10:30 AM to 9:30 PM. You can have your brunch and dinner here!

If you are from Manila, you can check out the place by using either google maps or any “direction” applications available in the web. (As you know, I am not that good on “direction” things.)

This one’s a photo grabbed using Google Map

That’s it! I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Happy Saturday, Sunnies! ❤

2nd Work Anniversary

Today, July 12, marks my 2nd year at work.

I couldn’t imagine that I have lasted this long.

I can still remember the memories I had the day after college graduation, the whole job application process, and even my first interview (if you have difficulties on job interviews, I’ve got a blog post for you! Check out “Interview Tips for Graduates”).

Those are some of the moments I would really treasure.

I am glad that I had experienced all of my firsts at work in the current company I am at.

Time really flies too fast. 2 years ago, I just attended my college graduation ceremony.

Now, I was able to accomplish a lot of things and surpassed challenges I never imagined I can.

When I started at work, I really got no idea on what I will be doing.

I really had a lot of questions during that time.

Do I need to compute and finish some sort of mathematical equations?

Will I also be accomplishing projects and researches?

Will I be able to meet new friends I can mingle with?

During the first months, I felt like I am still taking my on-the-job training since this is the period that I am learning the tasks I would need to do.

Everything seems too easy and I really became comfortable with the people I am working with.

As time goes by, I got to face several difficulties and struggles a regular employee usually feels.

Reality suddenly hit me and I realized that I am no longer a child, a student, nor an on-the-job trainee.

I will take full responsibility of what I am doing – be it a compliment or a consequence.

Yes, the feeling of earning is somehow fulfilling as I got the chance to buy any stuff I want and somehow support the needs of my family.

However, I still have this feeling of wanting to go back to the usual days wherein I am still playing with friends and doing home works with my group mates.

To you who’s reading this,

  • If you are an employee working for months or years, I hope you are doing well and I hope you are happy. Remember that if you are having some problems at work, that will surely pass. Do the best you can to solve it but try not to worry that much.
  • If you are a student or a teen, make sure to enjoy your life. Try to seize every moment you are with your friends. Trust me, after graduation, it would be quite hard to see them due to busy schedules. I don’t see anything wrong with “partying” while studying as long as you know your limitations.
  • If you are a parent, give your children the chance to go out and enjoy. It’s absolutely fine to always remind them of things but don’t let them feel that you are some sort of hindrance towards their happiness.

Happy Friday! ❤

Passion Vs. Needs

People nowadays tend to look for high paying jobs which will sustain and support their needs in life — good food, good home, education for children, and a lot more.

Many of us are currently working on certain companies of our choice. Most of us could be graduates of engineering, medicine, law, education, and more. Some got jobs inclined with what they studied in universities and some are at firms they actually never imagined they would be at.

But, have you ever think about this thought?

“Am I doing this because I need to or because I love to?”

Others would answer “because they need to” and others might choose “because I love to”. If you got both, then you are lucky!

Being at a job you love is really awesome. You got to enjoy every single thing you are doing at the office. Because your passion drives you to continue, you do not mind about any problem or difficulty and just continue doing it. Every day is an amazing day for you. You are excited to get up in the morning and go to work. Everything seemed to be easy if you love what you are up to.

If you are doing a thing just because you need to, you will possibly end up with a certain point in life wherein you wanted to quit. Because you are thinking that you need to do this, you just continue. Everything is different. You got to do things because you are required to and because you have to earn some money to support yourself and your family.

Which among these two are you?

Are you doing things because you love to or just because you need to?

Several Ways to Earn extra Income

Most people nowadays are looking for several ways to earn money. Sometimes, money earned as an employee is not that enough to sustain your needs and wants.

This is why there are a lot of people who tend to look for ways to gain extra income in the web or social media.

Like you, I am as well a person who loves checking on ways I can do to support myself. Through researching, I was able to get some ideas which I would like to share to all of you, Sunnies.

  • Try online selling

One good way of earning is through online selling. I have seen a lot of my friends on my social media accounts who are using their accounts as their way of promoting their businesses.

In this type of business, you would need a little amount of money to start. You just need to be creative enough to promote your products.

Through facebook, instagram, or twitter, you can reach your target customers without spending too much. Moreover, there would be no need to have your own stall or shop (if you don’t have that much capital). You can start even at your home and do meet-ups if you got clients.

I have lots of friends who are currently delving into online selling. You might want to visit their pages! Check below links:

  • Affiliate Marketing

According to web searches, Affiliate Marketing is a way of promoting other’s business and products often through a network. Once people ended up buying the products promoted, the affiliate marketer can gain some commission depending on the agreed amount by the marketer and owner.

If you have a business and find it hard to promote your products, you can hire affiliate marketers to help you out.

Same way, if you would want to gain some income through marketing, you can check several sites which are offering this affiliate program. Most online shops have this program. You can go and check Lazada, Shoppee, Amazon, or Ebay’s site.

  • Printing Business

If you are that creative on making your own designs, you can start with your own printing business. Although you might need a bit higher capital for the things needed to start, surely, your gain would be higher if you got lots of clients and customers.

You can start at invitation printing (since most people love sending invitations for several occasions like birthdays, anniversaries or even baptisms). You need to know how to use design tools to end up with the best output.

You can as well try shirt printing business. Shirts are being used even by businesses as their giveaways or by individuals as gifts. A lot of social media pages are offering free seminars to start with this business. This might cost much but keep in mind that shirts never go out of style. As long as you have amazing design creations, you can attract lots of customers.

  • Blogging

If you are a person who loves writing, blogging could be a way to earn extra income. However, this could be a bit harder than the other methods. Blogging takes a lot of your time. You would need to be consistent so that you could attract lots of viewers and followers on your site. By blogging, you can team up with other people especially those with businesses. Your site could be their way to promote their products. If you also have your own site, you can check WordAds, Adsense, and Infolinks as they are offering payments for every ads incorporated on your site once your readers clicked / viewed their advertisements.

  • Vlogging

There are a lot of people who are using videos as their way of earning extra income. Actually, most are doing it full time.

Having your own channel for example in Youtube, will let you upload your own videos. The more subscribers, followers, and views you have, the more income you can get. There are many successful youtubers who are gaining a lot from publishing videos online. You just need to be creative and your contents must be good to attract viewers. Having video editing skills will also help you produce good quality videos.

  • Tutoring

If you are not that creative and has no passion in writing, you can somehow try tutoring. Since another school year already started, most parents are surely looking for tutors for their children. You can choose any subject you are good at and promote yourself on your social media accounts to attract clients. Just make sure to put your contact details and rate for faster transactions.

  • Online Jobs

Another way of getting extra money is by doing online jobs. Many businesses are actually hiring freelancers, virtual assistants, content writers, and many more. Jobs are posted online using several websites. By doing online jobs, you are enjoying the perks of working at home at your own choice of time. You just need to have a good background, curriculum vitae, and of course a portfolio (wherein your works are shown) to attract clients. Sometimes, there are clients asking for examinations and interviews once they got your application. All you need to do is to pass those! Once hired, you can now start your online job and gain extra money (usually in dollars).

Good luck, Sunnies! Whatever you decide to do, just keep on pursuing what you really want!

A happy workplace can make you stay. ⭐️

Graduating from college is really tough. After several years of taking exams, quizzes, and recitations, everybody wants to land to a job which will make us feel secured, happy, and fulfilled — a job wherein we can earn and get to practice things we learned at universities.

Wearing my graduation outfit

For fresh graduates, it is really difficult at first. For some, they tend to resort to companies nearby because of the thought that it would be much harder to live away from home. Others would love to take challenges and go to new places they haven’t been before — resulting to getting and renting dormitories, condominiums, or apartments. Most people also have several beliefs about “having their 1st jobs”.

During application, the only things we got to see are job descriptions, locations, and company overviews. We aren’t even sure what are we going to do, who are the people we’ll deal with, and how long we’ll stay in that company.

In my case, I have been working for almost two years now. The job I am doing is not as easy as what I thought at first. Yes, you got to experience being at the lowest to rank up — which I think is a good thing since we can learn even the tiniest details.

You cannot really avoid the pressure at work! Attending meetings and talking to co-employees could be hard at times. You would be needing lots of ideas and self confidence to express yourself and show what you’ve got.

Yes, it could be tiring and at times, you’ll come to a point wherein you want to quit. But then, you’ll realize how hard it is to find a new one (😂) and repeat the same process you did during application.

But seriously speaking, in my case, one reason for staying at work is the team I am working with everyday. Being with amazing and smart people reduces the stress and pressure you feel at work.

Well, if you are thinking to quit now, think again…
